La Copa del Rey de Baloncesto 2018 ha sido la 82ª edición de la Copa del Rey de Baloncesto, ganada por el FC Barcelona Lassa frente al ex tetracampeón Real Madrid. La competición está gestionada por la ACB y se celebró en Las Palmas, en el Gran Canaria Arena en febrero de 2018[1][2].
Se clasificaron para el torneo los siete primeros clasificados tras la primera mitad de la temporada regular de la ACB 2017-18. Como el Herbalife Gran Canaria, equipo anfitrión, no acabó entre los siete primeros, el octavo clasificado no entró en la Copa del Rey.
La Copa del Rey de Baloncesto 2018 se sorteó el 23 de enero de 2018, aproximadamente a las 11:30, y se retransmitió en directo por YouTube y por televisión en muchos países[3] Los cabezas de serie quedaron emparejados en cuartos de final con los equipos no cabezas de serie. No hubo restricciones para el sorteo de las semifinales. Como en las últimas temporadas, el primer equipo clasificado juega su partido de cuartos de final el jueves.
En la semana previa a la Copa, la Asociación de Jugadores de Baloncesto (ABP) convocó una huelga para el 14 de febrero, intentando así detener la Copa si la ACB no aceptaba sus exigencias, en la negociación del nuevo convenio colectivo, incluyendo la subvención de 315.000 euros de la liga al sindicato de jugadores[4][5].
